Title Good For the Soul
Pairing Slash overtones with Jim and the young men he interrogates.
Rating NC17
Length 500 words
Spoilers None

Written for the 'crack' challenge at [livejournal.com profile] sentinel_thurs. I'd warn for Jim being OOC, but heck, in canon the way he interrogates young men is pretty NC17, so maybe not.

Good Boy

He dreams of seeing a bird's eye gleam darkly as it wheels high overhead, its wing-beats harsh flutters. Dreams of a woman glimpsed across the football field, a friend's mother, so his arousal is shame-spiced, but she reeks of sex as well as Chanel. Deep in the woods surrounding the field, he sees a man, and he knows and shares their guilt.

Dreams and wishes memories wouldn't flood his head as he sleeps.

Dreams he's still a freak, and hopes he wakes to find he's normal, Dad's good boy, his favorite.

Let tomorrow be the day he's normal again.
The challenge this week at [livejournal.com profile] sentinel_thurs is 'sick' and so I did a drabble for it to get back into a writing mood again.

It's a sickness, a disease. A compulsion, an obsession, that owns, drives, possesses him.

He walks through his day with it riding him, sleeps with it lurking in his dreams and coloring them nightmare-gray, because it's wrong and he knows it (loves it).

He could end it. Tell Blair what he's doing -- and Blair would be gone before the echoes of Jim's shamefaced, whispered confession have died away.

He contemplates that solution.

Blair. Out of reach.

And shudders, hugs his sickness closer, and feels the fever build.

It's better this way.

(Tonight. He has to -- just one more time. Please?)
Before Christmas, I did that 'if you could make me write anything' meme and [livejournal.com profile] sassyinkpen broke my brain with the pure badnaughtwrongbutsoveryhotness of this:

Karl gets arrested by Jim and attempts to bribe his way out of it with deeply obscene sexual favors. He is successful.

I've been playing with the fic off and on for a while and it's not behaving when it comes to the all out smutfest I'd planned, but I think I'm done with it for now. And if anyone else wanted to take the idea and write it, I'd love to see what you did with it.

It's a dark, tired, slightly skewed Jim. Blair's off with Sam, which could explain it. If you think he'd never do this, I won't argue with you ::g::

I'm humming, David's coming home today, doo-da, doo-da in my head. Someone make me stop.

I did two more icons, up for grabs, as ever, and have stopped myself from doing any more. Masses to do and it's a lovely day; want to do some weeding while the earth is a little damp still.

This is a gen fic I just did for this week's challenge at [livejournal.com profile] sentinel_thurs.

Challenge #192 'Trapped'
Length 275 words
Spoilers Set during 'Prisoner X'

Under Lock and Key )
After posting the snippet about Jim Ellison's interrogation techniques, I thought I'd do another clip vid with commentary of the two best ones; Jim as sympathetic but still way in the boy's face in 3.22 Night Watch and Jim as pure menace to that scum Brad in 4.02 Murder 101.

16 MB, about 5 minutes long.

Hands kneading shoulders. That little incredulous laugh. That total in your faceiness.

Oh, my, yes.
This isn't quite how I pictured it; are they ever? I think I bit off more than I could chew which is something I'm prone to. I'll refrain from quoting about exceeding grasps and heaven ;-) So it fell into place all of a sudden and I just thought, yes, that'll do and heaved a sigh of relief while ticking it off the to-do list.

Short attention span? Mo -- hey, is that something shiny over there?

It's around 28 MB, nothing very spoilery, gen, and it's really just about Jim's ideals getting tarnished by the city and losing Blair and himself on the way. I started it after watching the very bleak 'Prisoner X' which, with the crowds paying to watch men fight and die for fun, seemed to make it clear that, like the song says, the true jungle isn't where the wild things are.

Happy Birthday to the talented, delightful [livejournal.com profile] sidlj! Do hope you enjoy yourself very much indeed :;much love::

This is a 2,000 word crossover fic. Why I've started writing them, I don't know. It's set in the summer after Daniel ascends, with Jack inviting an old friend to the cabin for a weekend of fishing.

On the melancholy, h/c side but how can it not be?
