After grumping yesterday, I had a change of heart and started to play with my new toy and fell in love. It really does seem easier in a user friendly way, even if it does keep trying to get me to buy things. I went wild and input a zillion numbers (including people I never call) just because it was easy and I was practising my thumb typing. The old phone, I had six numbers and was never sure where they were so I just scrolled down the recently dialled until I found them.
Today, fired with enthusiasm, I had a go at importing music, photos, vids, figuring if I could do it on my iPod, I could do it on this.
Minor hiccup when it started to import EVERY SINGLE MUSIC AND MEDIA FILE ON THE HARD DRIVE, OMG, but I kept frantically deleting them and eventually figured out how to make it stop. With a clean slate, I began again, more cautiously.
I'm not going to pay to get it net-accessible but it's comforting to see that if I wanted to, I could pay $2.00 and get 24 hour access to the net. That would've saved us in the airport last month trying to find a way to get that damn ESTA form filled in.
So now I have a potential wi-fi device, yay.
David was rolling his eyes over it, pointing out that I got sold the latest, newest, 3G thingummy which is totally way over what I need if I'm using it to make phone calls, nothing else, but what the heck. It's here now.
