Tonight's House
Going behind the cut.
Forget the case (and what looked like Lexa Doig in the commercial for pomegranate chewing gum; I keep forgetting to ask if it's her) that was just all about House and Wilson. or, to be more accurate and it's pretty much canon here, on an emotional level anyway, House/Wilson.
I stopped breathing for a moment on the line about almost dying not being enough. In context, that's just --- flailing here. House almost died, not for Amber, but for Wilson and it wasn't enough to get him Wilson's love, which has all gone to the dead Amber. And Wilson just... he destroyed everything and walked away and he could be right, but God, more cruel than anything House has done.
I loved the way Wilson undercut the hypocrisy with the line about how no one even liked Amber. No, they didn't. Until the last episode or two, she wasn't at all likable. And, when it comes down to it, she wasn't the love of Wilson's life and he knows it.
It's all about House. Always has been, always will be.
