'Pride' movie

Mum also mentioned she's going to see a movie called 'Pride'. Not heard about it over here but I do hope we get it too. It's based on real life; an LGBT group who raised money for the striking miners in the homophobic eighties and went to deliver it to a town in South Wales, unsure of their reception.

I was a student at the time and my parents were very heavily involved with supporting the local miners, standing with them on the picket lines, raising money, and they also made food runs to South Wales. I think they were given a medal when it ended in token of all they did. I was there the first time Kinnock and Scargill shared a stage and all in all, it's something our family felt very strongly about.

The movie sounds like a must-see. I hope I do get to watch it.
