Tech question

I've Googled with no joy. We were playing Chaos last night and got to a place where you need some tricky pit hopping and treasure grabbing -- only to keep falling down a pit because the down key on our keyboard (and on the number pad) doesn't work. Forward and side ones do. I tried plugging in a different keyboard and have the exact same problem so clearly it's not an errant crumb or something.

Anyone have any bright ideas? It's a two person problem, one to grab with the mouse, the other to navigate and we really need this darn button to work... We're using Vista and a HP keyboard that came with the computer.

Sounds like your keyboard port is failing, or the BIOS is failing to recognize that a keyboard is installed, or the driver for the keyboard needs updating. Hopefully, it's the latter of those options.
