I'm sitting here about to embark on The Final Tidy-Up because
wesleysgirl and her family arrive this afternoon to spend the weekend!
I looked on the map and discovered that our houses are opposite each other. Okay, separated by almost 600 miles but still, it's a level straight line between us. That boggles my mind. She's in the US! They're south of us! How can this be?
It's amazing how much of the most lived in bit of Canada dips inside the US, so to speak and I'm explaining this badly because I'm too excited to be sensible.
I've known WG online for pretty much all of the time I've been on LJ and used to fangirl her immensely. Getting to write five books with her and many fics has done nothing to dim that. Au contraire.
Why am I still here when the kitchen is a TIP?
ETA Forgeot to say; never watched it myself, but our downtown was closed yesterday to film an episode of Murdoch Mysteries. If you see an episode by a river with a bridge in the background, that's us.
On the same front page was an article about how our local police set up a recruiting booth at the Toronto and local Pride festivals. That's good to see.
