Whimper

My Giles/Spike essay is due tomorrow. It's not done. It's 7,000 words long and it needs to be cut drastically or made ten times longer. I was awake at 2.00 this morning writing it in my head and I've just scrapped the first draft and started over ::head hits desk::

I'm in a worse panic than the ones I used to get into when I was doing my Angel Book of Days fics.

Why is this so hard? It's a pairing I adore and I can usually babble away about my obsessions quite happily. Why am I dithering and going off at tangents and unable to just say what I mean in a reasonable readable way?
