After no sleep, I got up at the crack of dawn and went out into minus 20 (I think minus 32 windchill) and took my daughters to the emergency clinic. Eleanor has a viral infection; no medicine, Lauren, who complained about her ears at 5.30 yesterday (any parents will nod wisely at the timing) and woke up with crusty gunge coming out of one, has bronchitis and a middle ear infection. Getting her to take the medicine wasn't easy but dose one is down...

God, can we all just get better, please? This heavy cold and a tummy bug are going the rounds here and the kids are dropping like flies.

Keep warm and take care, all of you living in winter.

My brother flies back to Australia in a few weeks; I think he's stunned by this cold after 18 years over there...

Torchwood recs needed: Jack/Owen

A rl non LJ friend has officially become One of Us which fills my slashy heart with joy :;g:;. She bought Laying a Ghost, went to see Brokeback with me and after me burning her Torchwood (she's from Cardiff) replied to my comment that Jack/Ianto is yummy with this:
