TV

( Apr. 6th, 2007 11:48 am)
Woke up late and with a tendency to feel as if I've stood up too fast. Giddy. Dizzy. I've cleaned the kitchen, we're about to tackle a multitude of little jobs and Lauren is whining in my ear that she's bored and wants to do, and I quote, 'something fun, I tell you, fun!'.

Hah. Given the state of the playroom, I don't think so, my little baby bear.

TV; David and I have seen the pilot and next episode of Blood Ties and we're enjoying it and squeaking (well, maybe that's just me) when we see places we recognise from the Toronto establishing shots. I've adjusted to Mike and Henry not looking like I imagined them because they're both (as is Vicki) on the gorgeous side.

Doctor Who; nice S3 opener! Lots of fun and I liked Martha. I'm on the fringes of the fandom too much to know if the frooforah of the Rose fans has quieted down now they've seen Martha in action. I hope so. As an old timer, it's just one of those things; the Doctors change; the companions change. It's part of the show. Live with it.

And I watched the due South pilot last night. I watched S1 in the UK years and years ago (96 I think) and loved it and, ironically, when we moved to Canada in '97 lost track of it. The enduring memory I have is of an episode I'm sure I'll come to soon with a dark haired girl who moves in with Fraser, scrubs the place down because she's getting rid of fingerprints, there's Fraser putting her fingers in his mouth to keep them warm when they're in an avalanche :;Jane spontaneously combusts at the very thought of that:: and Fraser chasing a moving train.

Feel free to snicker if I have three episodes mixed up or it's the wrong show :;g::

Anyway, it was just as adorable as I remembered it.

And if the room could stop spinning and the snow stop falling, I'd be very happy.
Pure PWP, with a dash of the funny, no spoilers, set early, 2,300 words.
