I'm getting more and more annoyed that LJ isn't posting in
news about the journal suspensions. People are tagging comments onto this unrelated post from page 6 onwards (here) but there's no proper place for them to express their concern.
I can appreciate that LJ doesn't want to comment until it has its ducks in a row, but stony silence isn't the way to go. Even a 'bear with us, we know you're worried, we'll comment soon' post would be better than nothing.
This is not good customer service. This is not the way to reassure 13 million users that their journals won't be suspended without warning or appeal when some outside group throws a hissy fit. This is not the way to make people feel safe in what has always been an admirably open and relaxed place.
I love LJ. Love it. It's got my loyalty and it's got my money as a paid user who buys LJ gifts quite often.
But you can love someone and still be disappointed in them.
I'm disappointed.
Kneejerk reactions, a sweeping implementation of a poorly thought out strategy, a lack of information so that the rumours are all we have to go on, plus what the bloody Warriors site tells us -- oh, yes.
I'm disappointed.
