Birthdays (nice) Caterpillars (...)

Happy Birthday sally_maria! Hope the day brings you cake, presents, much spoiling and everything else that makes a birthday fun :;hugs::

Me, I've been dealing with caterpillars in the tall bush outside the front door. Every year they come and they're pure ick. Black dots on the leaves that I assume are eggs, clouds of grey cocoon and yellow/green wiggles that I hope aren't in my hair and down my neck.

As David's away until next week I had to tackle them myself. I don't spray; I'd just get a mouthful of something poisonous because I'm an idiot so I'm simply hacking off any infected branches.

It's lopsided but I've got most of the little buggers.

Talisker sauntered around to observe, sitting down heavily on the bedding out plants I'd put around the tree in the centre of the lawn and yawning. Oh, to be a cat.

The subject of the icon (Macallan McFluffy Paws Davitt) sat on the mouse cable the whole time I was making this, purring loudly and sublimely indifferent to the fact that he was being a pain.

Cats. What are they like?
