I'm obviously insane because I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Photoshop (Yes, [livejournal.com profile] alyburns I was lured by all of those tutorials and you all make it beautifully clear but I'm useless) and my GOD is it making prickly sweat break out on the back of my neck. Insanely complex doesn't even begin to cover it.

However, I've done an icon; I can't make the bloody pen nib thing go away, and stop making dots and lines, not even when I close and reopen the program :;cries:; so I can't change the text colour but what the hell, I have an icon.

Now how do I save it so it's a JPG/GIF/PNG or something usable? Because it won't let me have those as an option.

And I will bribe you all with pretty men ::points at my new icon:: from these photos (and vid clip) here here gakked from [livejournal.com profile] meret.

So, so not work safe.

Suit porn. My favourite.

ETA It will let me save the original cap as a jpg so obviously whatever I did to it sent me into a place of no return.

I'll start over. ::whimpers::

Thank you all!

Well, this took 90 mins instead of about four but look; it has words!

I'm going to return to writing; it's not quite as frustrating :;g:;

Thanks for all the help everyone; appreciate it very much.

My hands are tired and so is my brain. The fic's at 12,500 words now which makes me feel as if progress is being made even if I know I'm still only a third through the plot.

But I had another play with Photoshop and although it toyed with me and let me do the hitherto invisible save to web for one icon, it refused with the next and when I tried to type text no matter what letters I hit, I got a single line.

Contrary little so and so, isn't it?

These are all shareable btw; I keep forgetting to say that, but they are.

And it's possible I'm slightly obsessed with light and shadow on Blair's neck...
