Sleepy...

Happy Birthday spikes_heart! Hope it's started off well and just keeps getting better :;hugs::

The sleepover is sort of ongoing. It began at 2.00 p.m. yesterday and kids keep getting added and subtracted, heh. I'm going to be looking after the two I had at the weekend whose parents are moving house; I volunteered to be a sort of dumping ground for the kids of them and all the friends helping as the children get bored and underfoot. By six tonight, it should just be me and my two.

They're all very good, though and if it gets too noisy, well, I'm a mom; we have ways of crowd control :;hides Gummi Bears::

Eureka update

Just finished 1.6 and yes, NOW I'm feeling the Stark/Carter love/loathing/amused tolerance whatever ;-)

Stark. "Wouldn't want you to end up in federal prison."

Carter. "Yeah? Well, I wouldn't want you to end up with my foot shoved up your ass."

Stark. "Sheriff, we're grown men. I like to think we're a little more evolved than that."

Carter. "Well, you over-estimate me!"

Stark. "Touche."

Feeling wistful here

Have you ever not wanted to write something because it's gold in your head and you just know in the transition to paper/pixels, it'll turn to straw, or at best gold-coloured metal, the kind that makes your skin go green?

I'm close to wrapping Point of Contact. Two chapters are in the bag and I'm about to start part 14 which will most likely stretch too long to stay just one part but it's the end, even so. Though I reserve the right to go back and visit, or write PoC: Book Two at some point :-)

It'll be the longest solo story, fanfic or original, that I've done, I think.

Just have to start this last bit.
