Eleven Years Ago Today...

... the Davitt family (just three of us then) arrived in Canada as fresh off the plane immigrants, blinking tiredly but excited.

It's been a good eleven years. Thank you for having us, Canada, and I promise I'll fill out those citizenship forms really soon because we're not going home.

This is home now.

Except when it comes to soccer, when we'd always support England against Canada in a match. Ahem. Sorry.
