I just lost 90 mins of cut and pasting work when my internet connection failed.

Yes, I should have been saving as I went along, but talk about timing...

I had to call Rogers in the end which resulted in me acting like a stereotypical dim customer as I crawled around unplugging cables with a torch in one hand, the phone in the other and an increasingly desperate squeak to my voice.

I've now ripped apart all the just put in networking between the two computers and got the connection back but that's obviously a short term solution.

90 minutes. All that coding wasted ::weeps and feels like an object lesson::

Oh dear

Because the Secret Santa fics were, well, secret, and I had guests, I didn't prepare any of the fics plus I've written others since and I now have 17 fics to add to my webpage.

I usually add them as I write them. And I haven't archived them anywhere either!

Okay, I'm whining terribly today, aren't I?

And it's a final episode day for SGA but I'm not seeing many posts about it? I'm thinking back to when Angel ended and my f-list and I spent the whole day crying (literally in my case; I was still crying when I went to bed and tears welled up the next day, too).

I can't imagine ever doing that over a show again. Not to that extent. Maybe it's something you can only do once at that level of intensity.

It's quite nice having my main squeeze these days be a long closed fandom that I missed the cancellation of; it's comfortingly safe. Nothing can be taken off me (apart from the hope that S2-4 will one day be on DVD, oh God, when?).
