At yoga on Wednesday, I astonished myself, the class and the intructor by managing to get into crow pose

for several seconds, holding the pose because she told me to hollow my tummy and be brave and lean forward and I did. Felt glorious, like flying.

So last night, filled with enthusiasm, I tried it on the family room floor on impulse.

Bad mistake.

My arms were a little trembly and Talisker came walking over, curious, concerned, totally puzzled by my strange behaviour. He put his nose up against mine and inquired "Murple?" which made me laugh and I began to fall forward.

Usually, I'd catch myself or tipple to the side, but Tally was in the way and I didn't want to squash him, so I ended up landing on my nose. Hard.

Ow.

It hurt.

Talisker gave me an incredulous look and walked away and David came rushing in and then couldn't stop laughing.

I think I'll make sure I'm in an empty room next time with lots of space to fall onto things that aren't my nose...
