Sleepover!

elementalv combined a trip to Canada to see Gunless with a stopover at my house and much fun was had. David was pleased to meet a fellow single malt fan and I always love meeting LJ friends in person. We talked fandom for hours and watched the two-parter Doctor Who episodes back to back (meep! scary!).

And you are the last person to sleep in the pink ballerina spare room, elementalv: we have visitors arriving from the UK in a few weeks and I decided I'd lived with someone else's decor for an 8 year old girl long enough and started tearing off the border and strewing paint chips everywhere. We're going with a pale lilac.

Speaking of Gunless, I scanned the interview with PG in the cinema magazine and it's under the cut. Mildly spoilery for the movie.

Is sad fangirl

Partway through Gunless, I nudged my friend Shan and hissed excitedly, 'Paul Gross is drinking whiskey from my teacup!'

It was only glimpsed in passing, but it certainly looked like my Haddon Hall Minton pattern and, being obsessive and all, when I spotted the cups in the 'Making Of' documentary, I screencapped.

Not sure it is; mine don't have that blue flower, but the handle matches. Definitely very, very similar...ooh, could just be a variant on the color. I'm sure it's it.
