I just went in to volunteer and browsed around on the way out. Found two m/m historical novels by Alex Beecroft and Erastes in the Romance section.
Cool.
Now if only they had some of mine there, too...Nancy, one of the librarians, did say they'd order some when I mentioned what I wrote (I had people coming up to me all week congratulating me on being published and saying they'd always expected me to write SF, heh) but I guess it never happened :;quivers lip sadly:: I'd think it was because they were too smutty, but I tell you, they have plenty of het on those romance shelves that are practically burning a hole. Whew.
It's like this well-kept secret how scorching some romances have gotten, quietly upping the heat until they're basically erotica but 'romance' sounds so innocuous and rose-petal sweet that no one would ever give someone checking them out a second glance... ;-))
