Colin, David's dad, just got back from a walk with a piece of litter he'd spotted sticking up out of a snowbank.
A 120GB iPod.
We dried it off, switched it on and found that it belonged to 'AshandSteve' and had many photos of teenagers and a hundred songs, leaving 110GB free which seems a waste.
We weren't sure what was best, sticking a notice up on the nearest lamp post or just taking it to the local police station but rather than field a zillion calls from people trying it on, we drove to the station and handed it in.
I do hope the boys think to call the police...I'd be gutted if I lost mine.
Tomorrow, we head off to Niagara to spend the night in a posh hotel and then the following day exploring and visiting a winery and what not before heading home. I've been to the Falls often but never stayed there. The six of us usually get two rooms, so David and I have to share with E and L but we discovered to our pleased shock, that a three-bedroom corner suite (three king-sized beds, two jaccuzzis and a fireplace!!) costs less than two rooms and we get breakfast thrown in and a $40 voucher to a restaurant. There's a massive water complex attached and a hallway leading to the casino or something.
I might never leave the room.
