I got a Kobo e-reader! Yes! Thank you Santa David! I've downloaded Calibre to manage it, figured out how to make it change the font of imported fanfic from teeny-tiny to readable (also in Calibre), downloaded a free e-book from my library (I get to keep it for 14 days) and the last thing is to set up my account so that I can buy new books for it. It comes with 100 classics pre-loaded and there are some I'll never read there but lots that I will. It is very cool.
The only problem I have is that I keep stabbing the screen when there's a pressable option and it's not a touch screen; there's a button at the bottom. My phone has spoiled me.
We all had lovely presents; Lauren almost passed out from sheer joy at one point and I'm deaf in my left ear from Eleanor's squees of joy over her anime-related stuff.
I hope that you're all happy and well.
Next week, when the house is empty again, I'm having a day of reading fic which is piling up in two fandoms, and then I'm starting my new book.
And a diet.
