The article is here and the gist of it is that a researcher's found that young straight men in the UK now have way less hang ups about kissing another guy or sharing a bed and how difficult a concept that is for older gnerations to grasp; the casual acceptance of something once unheard of.

I remember being amused to discover when we were dating that David had a friend down to his tiny one-room flat for the weekend and Nigel slept on the small couch next to him rather than sharing the king-size bed with David. If that'd been me and my best friend Alicia, we'd have shared the bed without a moment's thought; did do on occasion after parties.

I guess the guys are catching up slowly ;-)

David is off taking his parents to the airport, so the holidays are well and truly over.

They've been here since December 9 and so the house is going to seem quiet tomorrow with just me and the two cats...though I talk to myself and the cats thunder around at times, so maybe not so much.

I plan to spend the rest of the week in:

1. Tidying.
2. Research for my next book.
3. Catching up on a month of fanfic.
4. More fanfic.
5. Sorting out the computer and Putting Things Where They Should Go.
6. Maybe a spot of writing.
7. Eating all the leftover chocolate because on Monday ---

I start a diet and the new book.

We watched Oyster Farmer last night. Aw, baby-faced Alex O'L was cute. With his kit off a lot, too. And his real accent. Nice, gentle film, with a lot of swearing and mysterious oystering processes and quite funny in places.

I've got episode one of Three Rivers to watch too...maybe I will do that now and make a start on number 7.
