If you're feeling like smiling

We went to friends for supper and ended up watching some utterly dire movies on Netflix in fast-forward mode for a laugh (Megashark vs Giant Octopus: the shark not only bites through the Golden Gate bridge, it leaps 30,000 feet in the air and bites a 747. Yes.)

This is from a Godzilla movie and we rewound about three times because we adored it so much.

Godzilla has just defeated some space aliens.

And he's HAPPY. See his happy dance.

Goodbye Slipperieslope

I hadn't had the chance to read my f-list until just and I'm saddened beyond words to see the news that my friend and a much-loved memmber of the TS fandom, slipperieslope has died. I don't know what happened but I'm sitting here in tears after watching the vid her friend posted here.

This is just so very sad. I loved seeing the flowers she posted for people's birthdays and reading her comments and posts.

slipperieslope, these are for you.



Gary Moore died today too and my best friend Alicia had to put down Prince, a horse she'd owned and loved for eighteen years, in the week. I can see 2011 is shaping up to be as full of losses as 2010.

ETA It seems it was a heart attack, in her sleep. I'm glad at least that it wasn't after a long, pain-flled illness.

Whoo-hoo!

David just got back from the Superbowl party he always goes to and there was a pool and he had a stake of $20 and he won $310!

Plus, he supports the Green Bay Packers, so it's good all round.
