It has taken 14 hours for my foot to start hurting. I don't mind the lag, but I wonder why it's started now.
Why is it hurting at all? Heh. I will tell you.
I went upstairs to wake David this morning and shuffled on my slippers as I walked away from the bed. One wasn't quite on my foot but it's way too much effort to bend down first thing so I sort of did this shuffle to get it on.
And tripped over my pillow (I can't sleep with both of them so I throw one on the floor when I'm done reading and turn out the light.)
Pillows are funny things to trip over. They're soft and giving, but they latch onto you too. Tricksy little suckers.
I fell forward, went down like a ton of bricks, full-length, splat.
I've never seen David leap out of bed so fast.
I was okay, I mean, I was lying there staring up at the ceiling and thinking, hmm, not the best start to the morning, but I wasn't hurt. Except I'd bent my toes back on themselves on my foot somehow. Still, I was fine.
Until now, when I was on the sofa (I was watching the first episode of Generation Kill,![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
dlasta and enjoying it though some of the dialogue's a bit hard for my English ears to catch) and realized, OMG, excrucating pain in my tootsies. So now it hurts.
