Navy is the new...nothing

We're going to a wedding in April. I have an outfit (sshhh, it's so old I had to take shoulder pads out of it) an incredibly pale lilac straight skirt and long jacket with a scatter of seed pearls over it. Which sounds weird but it's very wedding-y. So I need navy heels since it's the only color that goes.

Went EVERYWHERE.

No one has navy anything. It's a classic color, dammit!

Finally bought some in a clearance aisle of a shop and David said he didn't like them with the outfit and when I tried them with a dress, said they went with the dress but the dress wasn't dressy enough.

"Suitable for going to Ali's Bar for a pitcher of beer" were his exact words ::narrows eyes:: I did not realize I was married to Michael freaking Kors.

So I went out again and whee! Got a pair of Guess navy heels at Winners for $49.

They're high and I'll be hobbling but I'm past caring.

I GOT SHOES.
