Just back inside after much gardening that I did in brief bursts to save my always fragile back. Such a lot to do, OMG. Lovely blue sky but it was chilly in the shade, only just over 60 F.
The day started off with a spectacular spill. I'd made smoothies for breakfast; would've been just peach, but David said, why not throw in some blueberries and blackberries. L took her glass into the computer room and suddenly there was this shriek...
It bounced. It managed to cover the entire room. Huge purple lake on the carpet and E's legs.. We mopped frantically then our gaze went outward...the door. The wall. The computer tower. Computer chair.
Thank God the cats were nowhere to be seen.
We've been contemplating buying a carpet steamer. It's so expensive getting people in and it's a pain hiring one for the day because you exhaust yourself and end up with everywhere wet. They're about $2-300, so they'd pay for themselves quite quickly.
Anyone have one? Recommendations, warnings?
