thank you all for the kind messages which i'll just answer with this if that's okay. i'm typing one fingered so will miss off capitals.

got there with david at 11.30 and all was on time but didn't get home until about 5.30. long day. real problems getting the iv in; hate those things, tried back of hand no, hurt a bit but ok. tried in wrist. omgomg hurt so freaking much. didn't make a peep but did my yoga breathing a lot. then a second nurse tried above wrist and yay. have huge bruise.

came around an i'm bandaged, whole hand, fingers sticking out an halfway to elbow. v tight; i'm wiggling fingers lots and pulling out bits of the cotton wool stuff to release the tightness. i can take it off tomorrow night and re-dress it.

no pain yesterday but throbbed a bit in the night. they gave me sixty percocet. i don't know why drug addicts want them; they don't do a thing for me. i guess they helped with the pain but not in a knock me out way.

go back on fri 12th to get stitches out.

thank god for kobo; impossible to read books too hard hold and flip pages
