David just bought us tickets to see Queen (well, two of them...) with Adam singing in Toronto in July. We got to buy early because he's in a special club or something but even so the tickets went woosh. We're going with two friends so it will be so much fun. Adam isn't Freddie, but no one is or ever could be and I think he has a great voice and a wonderful stage presence.
I haven't been to a concert in YEARS. David often does, the most recent being Judas Priest, but I've never been interested in seeing bands I watched in their prime thirty years on. It reminds me I'm getting older, heh.
Queen, though...never ever saw them ::mourns:: Back then, to get tickets you had to phone the venue (no internet) and when it was engaged, which it always was, you had to redial BY HAND, finger in the hole, whirr, whirr (no pushpad) until your finger was bright red and swollen and then you got through to the NEC (for me) and were told it was sold out.
I wonder if my leather jacket still fits?
