It is crunchy-nose-hair freezing today (minus 24C when I woke up) and I'm trapped in the house as David's garage door won't close as it's too cold. I went out and sprayed bits with WD-40 and my hand almost froze to the can. I could go out and hope no one steals the lawnmower/breaks into the house through the connecting door, but I'll pass.

For my own amusement (as I like to torture myself with guilt) and so people know what's happening I'm doing a 'Writing to be Done/Progress made' list. I may begin to cry but I have butterscotch chocolate chip cookies right by me so all might be well.

Non fic article on love of books; half done. Cautiously optimistic.

Article on Giles as Watcher. Got an idea, not started, feel dreadful.

The Annotated Secretary. Notes made, can't start until the fic's over. Want to do it right now, as is typical.

Running Scared.Wes/Dawn Last updated Dec13, next chapter half done. Kind of stuck.

Watching, Waiting, Anticipating. Faith/Wes. Last updated Dec 17, next chapter started. Kind of stuck.

Sunblind. Giles/Ethan, Wes/Angel/Spike. Last updated August 18, next chapter - oh God. August? Next chapter part done, but really, oh God, that's dreadful. Guilt in great bit gobs :;reaches for cookie::

Taking Leave. Giles/Willow/Wes. Can't see this being finished.

Retroactive. Giles/Wes/Spike. This is the only officially abandoned WIP but someone asked recently if I'd finish it and I toyed with the idea but...no. Probably won't.

And I had two nice ideas for off-the-cuff ficlets this week and I didn't write them down and they're lost. I hate that.

I think it's clear my follow-through offically sucks these days. I really am sorry, but I'll do my best to finish all of them (apart from Taking Leave and Retroactive). When [livejournal.com profile] secretary_fic ends I'll have more time - after the sobbing and compulsive re-reading of my favourite bits is under control - so hopefully...
