Finished HP as I wasn't allowed to go on the computer for more than five minutes without accusing glances from my husband who's next in line to read it. Hmm. No spoilers; it's long, it's darker, it's darn hard to hold open. And Harry and Dawn would get on well together.
I've been working on Preying on my Mind. Thanks to
green_luv and
fitofpique I've got back on track with it after well, coming perilously close to receiving feedback consisting of variations of 'wtf?' ::sigh:: Thanks for the well deserved gentle beating about the head both of you ::hugs::
I feel awful today; woke up all springy and bouncy, did an hour's housework and collapsed with a splitting headache and feeling as if I was about to throw up. I take it as a Sign and will let the dust bunnies gambol happily a little longer.
I got my hair cut finally. Eh. Said I wanted my bob again and asked if she had any ideas on jazzing it up a bit. Apparently tucked under bobs are Out, flicked out bobs are In. And I got layers. It looks like it does when I wash it and don't blow dry it - bits sticking out here and there. My hair is independent. You don't encourage it to misbehave. Not impressed as I stared into the mirror and I think my face said it all as she hastily assured me I could change it when I washed it next. Whatever. David liked it which is always a bad sign. He wanted me to get it 'waved'. I told him I'd taken a vow on the body of our first born never to have another perm. He seemed to think it could go from straight to wavy without a perm at which point I rolled my eyes in disbelief and gave up.
