My friend works at a school with a special needs boy at grade 1 level. She's been his carer for a few years now but he's going to a different school in September so she won't be with him any more. She wrote this for his parents. It's not one of the cute, could apply to anyone things you see; it's just about this one little boy at the one school but I liked it.

10 THINGS I HAVE LEARNED FROM BRYAN

10.There is no reason to walk down the hall when skipping, running or hopping is possible.

9.If you see an open door, it is just good manners to stick your head in and say, “HI”.

8.If you have muck on your shoes when you come in, you must do the “Shoe Shuffle” to get it off.

7.When walking backwards, it is polite to beep like a truck, so others know you are coming.

6.If accidentally, your shoes or boots get on the wrong feet, you have “Duck Feet”!

5.The garbage truck at school comes at exactly 9:00 a.m. every Tuesday.

4.If Mrs. Dueck does not start the announcements on time it is because she’s having a little rest up in the office.

3.You do not want Ms. Miller to start counting to three, because it means she is not happy!

2.The zamboni, back hoe, front-end-loader and all other construction equipment are perhaps the most beautiful things on earth.

1.Life is wonderful and you should embrace it with all your spirit and soul just as Bryan does.
