I just had to sternly quell an urge to do a poll about what I should do a poll about...I'm bored.
I'm sitting here with some of those Crest White Strip thingummies on (i.e. distressingly sans vodka and coke for a Saturday night). I'm too damn clumsy-fingered for them. It's day four and I've managed to mangle them as I tried to ease them out of the wrapper, get them hopelessly rucked up in seconds once on, and drop one so I had to peel it off the sink and try and smoosh the gel back on.
I think they're a little whiter but I drink too much coffee for it to last.
Started the Big Christmas Tidy as house guests arrive in two weeks. Today we put up three new shelves in the computer room and all is tidy. I feel as if I can write now I'm not surrounded by clutter. I also have oodles of space for the Stargate DVDs Santa is bringing me if he wants the reindeer back.
And I'm writing my original novel again (Charles/Gray, teacher/artist, turning slightly kinkier with every chapter but I can't decide if Charles is a top or a bottom just well aware that Gray's clueless and needs showing) after a long break and having fun, even if my hands are cramped up from too much typing. I wish I could type using more than just my middle fingers..
Nearly at 19,000. Don't see it getting to 80K but I might get a 50K story I can sell. Reading it over to get back in the swing of it, I was quite pleased with it; two of the secondary characters are a lot of fun which helps.
I could do a poll about birthdays. A new friend ::waves:; asked why I wish so many people Happy Birthday; it's because I do it for everyone on my f-list, always have. With nearly 400 people, it means I'm doing it most days, sometimes to people I don't know that well, or only ever interact with when I wish them HB and they say thanks. So maybe I should stop and just do it for the people I know well and chat with and post on their LJs and read their fics...
Might start that from January 1. Probably no one would notice me stopping because I'm probably the only one daft enough to do this ::wry smile::
ETA: OK! I won't stop! Forget I babbled :;hugs y'all::
Ooh! 8.46! Strips off (you know what I mean!) and vodka for me. I need cheering up; we went out and left the Christmas cake cooking and it's scorched.
