Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] mpoetess! You're one of my favourite people on LJ for the way you're calm and funny and snarky in perfect balance, and I don't tell you that half enough :;birthday spanks and smooches::

I've watched one episode of House a while back, didn't mind it, wasn't bothered enough to carry on (it used to clash with something; Supernatural, I think). So many of you rave over it, though, that when I saw S1 in the library on Monday night I took out the first disc, eight episodes, and mainlined them in 24 hours, finishing at 7.30 which gave me a break before the new episode aired at 9.00 (and part two's tonight at 8.00; has Bones wrapped for the season, then?).

Hmm. Weird jumping forward like that. Lot's changed and yet not much has. The episodes are all very similar (identical even...) in format; this show isn't, as far as I've seen yet, arc-driven at all, and the character developement in the first 8 was glacial. Of course, that's not something all shows go for or want; why mess with something that works?

So don't spoil me because I enjoyed it enough to plan on checking out the rest of S1 when my parents go home (they arrive on Saturday for a three week stay and they've seen all of House so I wouldn't make them sit through it again).

Wilson/House; that has to be the main pairing, right?

And Foreman has definitely changed for the worse. My God, that was unforgivable of him and if there aren't any consequences I'll be disappointed.
