Finished reading 'Reliquary' the SG-1 tie-in by Martha Wells. It was good; interesting plot, maybe stretched a little thin; sort of a one and a half episode plot in a two-parter, but well-written and it felt like them.

Slashy subtext by the bucketload for Sheppard and McKay, who are the main featured characters. Little nod to Sheppard/Teyla, Sheppard/Weir, but 90% Sheppard/McKay.

As it's an official novel, I can only assume it's canon and had to be that way. I'm not complaining ::g:: Seriously, if it'd been on LJ as a fic, there were places where it would've taken one paragraph to have smut ensuing. H/C fans will be drooling.

I can't quote a lot because of spoilers, but this bit was nice:

In his more optimistic moments, of which there were few, Rodney had imagined what things would be like if they had ended up staying here forever, or at least all lived long enough to die of natural causes. Somehow in that scenario Sheppard had still been here too, though God knew after years of crash landings, head injuries, and Wraith stunner attacks he would probably have even more impulse-control problems than...
