Grr

Just went out in a rush to get a last minute pressie for Eleanor, who turns 8 tommorrow, and rent TTT. There's construction in town and the traffic lights were gridlocked. I pulled out when the light was on green, the lane stopped and I was stranded, blocking the oncoming lane, who naturally went onto green themselves. Exactly the same thing happened there to me this morning so I know how irritating it is but let's see. Did I pull my car (in this case a huge, honking, jacked up SUV) to within an inch of their driver's door and start mouthing obscenities when they waved and smiled apologetically? And when the traffic moved enough for them to edge in and clear the road, meaning that the wait had been fifteen seconds at most, did I squeal my tyres, wind down my window and shout a string of obscenties ending in, 'you fucking bitch'?

Uh, no. I rolled my eyes, waited patiently enough and pulled off when I could, telling myself to take another route on the way back. I know it was my fault, but sheesh. Take a pill, as Cordy would say.

I wanted to hit him. In fact, I calmed down by imagining all the ways Buffy characters would take him apart for me.

Buffy would do a high kick and accidentally get her toes tangled in his testicles.
Wes would slap his face lightly, the jerk would start to laugh scornfully and Wes would bury his fist in the guy's beer gut.
Spike would smile gently, put a friendly arm around his shoulders, bend his neck over and tear out his throat.
Xander would start off by lecturing him on politeness and then give up and punch him out.

And Ripper...he could recreate the move he used on the policeman...

It's amazing how soothing it all was. Of course, I could've handled him myself - the Jane beast once roused, is a mighty and terrifying predator - but this was more fun.
