Today is Friday.
Today is the fifth anniversary of the posting of my very first fic ever. Five years, and wow, it was on the sucky side and not double spaced, and for someone who's read as many books as I have it was humbling that I had to get one out to check how to punctuate dialogue, but I did, struck by a hideous uncertainty, and in some ways starting out humble is no bad thing. Staying that way isn't, either. Humble, yet brave because you've got to take chances, experiment, risk snickers.

Today is a day to wear lilac if you were there (I mention this more because I'm still baffled by the insane kerfuffle this caused last year (or the one before; how time does fly) and in a stubborn mood. Will mention it if I want to, so there).
I wasn't there but I have lilac in my garden and it smells lovely.

I think my Friday posts verge on surreal sometimes but I'm very busy with the yard sale tomorrow and a messy house and editing to do and I must nip over to the shops and so the spamminess might not reach dangerous levels.
But if it does, well.
