Shocked and appalled that some of my friends can't get/don't know what they are so here are some good links.
This chap is sadly bewailing the fact he can't get them and gives a history of Maynards (the best). He likes the black ones best too.

The 'flavours' are port, sherry, champagne, burgundy and the shapes are kidney, crown, diamond, circle and rectangle. They contain no real wine; they're chewy and soft like jujubes.
