I was looking back at the thirteen parts and it struck me that they're a bit of a jumble. For those people who've been following it ::smooches you::, I think this is the reading order, if you want to go chronologically.

Prologue, parts one and two. Giles meets Spike and they make their deal, go back to Giles' house.

Part three and four are early days and games. Stand alone smut ;-)

Parts five to eleven are a mini arc, covering a short time early on and deal with telling the Scoobs, the aftermath, Xander's visit and the final part when Spike and Giles swap places.

Part one and two are set in the future, any time after chapter eleven but before the six months is up. Why? Because of two lines I wrote in part one (which was the first part I wrote; the prologue came much later).

Giles never bothers with the unnecessary words. But he tells me he loves me every day.

Giles tells Spike he loves him for the first time chronologically at the end of part eleven.

I'm looking at this and wondering how anyone made sense of it and thinking what a patient, supportive lot you all are ::hugs::

Oh, and the fade to black in part eleven is not me just asking to get spanked (no, really); it felt right. It wasn't about Spike actually fucking Giles (though he did), it was making Giles give in (and he did) so once that happened,there was no more to say.

I've got at least two more chapters to do; a Christmas one, heh, and when the six months is over, which is about the end of November, start of December for them. So they're not going back in the box for long.

This is an unbeta'd, off the cuff indulgence fic if ever there was one. Thanks for indulging me ;-)

Finally, it's all here;
