Husband got back from Denmark on Friday night, bearing gifts. Chocolate. Four bars of the stuff. Big bars. ::Sob:: And a big bag of Jelly babies.And a big bag of the new thing; Wine gums but wine pastilles instead.

He also got himself some Irish whisky from the duty free, for use in toddies/cooking (he's a total whisky snob). I raised an eyebrow, as I'm almost out of Bombay Sapphire, and he told me how he'd resisted temptation beyond any offered to man and needed a reward. When pressed for details he told me that an announcemnt had gone out in the duty free that Macallan had a Very Special bottling. Sixty year old single malt. Only 200 bottles. The price? 22,000 pounds. Yes. That's the correct number of zeros there. In US dollars $35,000.They had one bottle at Heathrow. Complete with armed guard I assume.You can see it here;

After I'd finished spluttering I corrected him. It's only tempting if there's even the smallest chance you can afford it...
We went car shopping yesterday. Second hand of course. We could have bought two for the price of that bottle and from what I read in a whisky book, it probably doesn't even taste that good.
