Here are my thoughts on this episode, or rather the last few minutes, also posted on atvbvs. Rant alert.

I can only remember squirming this much in the episode after Crush where Spike goes to the Magic Box and is comprehensively humiliated by Giles in front of everyone. I felt for Buffy as I never have before. As the ball of betrayal was thrown and caught by everyone in the room who had been her friend (and some who never were) I felt as gutted as she must have,

Bastards. Ungrateful, whining, back stabbing, petty scum.

Yes, Buffy made huge mistakes this episode, yes, she was wrong to hit Faith, ungrateful herself when she said Spike was the only one watching her back but she didn't deserve that.

I was ready to stomp them all as they took out their dissatisfaction on her for personal reasons under the guise of doubting her plan. It so wasn't about that. It was about choosing a vampire over a Slayer's son, about not stopping to play cards with Xander and costing a lifelong friend an eye, it was about having everything someone else wanted, about knowing deep down that you're not real and mom loved Buffy best, it was about knowing that you're coming in on the final chapter and you'll never quite fill Tara's shoes, it was about hurt that your Slayer has declared you surplus and a traitor.

It was about betrayal. "The coward with a kiss" I read some spoilers that said Dawn kissed Buffy as she told her to go. We were spared that at least.

God, I hope Spike kicks their arses from one end of Revello Drive to the other.

Sorry. I'm feeling...emotional.
