I'm boosting the signal for a wonderful initiative by [personal profile] starglyph to collate all Jack/Daniel writers, past and present, into a list so that their fic is easy to find through links that they provide. She's been incredibly patient with my flounderings and assures me that if anyone else isn't sure what to do, she can help one on one.

All the details are here:

[livejournal.com profile] sidlj and [livejournal.com profile] jd_junkie have the perfect solution to the post holiday blues; a J/D commentfic thread here with the only requirement being that Jack and/or Daniel call each other 'baby' during the fic.

'Babe' and 'baby' tend to melt me so I was in like Flynn with a quick spanking fic which should surprise absolutely no one. I link to it here so I won't lose it:

Father Figure
Today is [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl's birthday and she's been celebrating it in style by the sounds of it, as is only right and proper.

Here's a tiny bit of J/D for you, a tad angsty, 250 words, no spoilers.

I hope that today is off to a great start and that cake is imminent as it should be on a birthday at every meal :-))

::much love::

First Watch )
Just skimming through my f-list barely awake and found a gem of a J/D fic to start my day off very nicely:

This Is How It Works by [livejournal.com profile] bertybertle

When these two fight and negotiate their way to something they can live with, it's always just so intense and simmering and this is no exception.
Just read this and oh, boy, am I totally melted into a puddle.

Hell of a Sight Jack/Daniel NC17 by [livejournal.com profile] dragojustine.

Daniel talking to Jack during sex is just about the hottest thing ever... beautifully done smut that builds in intensity; you can feel Daniel's control squeezing tighter with every passing moment.
I offered [livejournal.com profile] jamethiel_bane a birthday drabble and she chose the lovely prompt of Jack/Daniel, orgasm denial, and I can do that, sure I can... just not in a drabble apparently, as this is nearly 1000 words :-)

No spoilers, set mid-show sometime, at Jack's cabin in the summer. No real warnings; off screen spanking mentioned, that's about it.

Wait For Me )
First of the prompt fics; this one wouldn't fit in a drabble, so it's about 450 words.

[livejournal.com profile] tejas asked for SG1, J/D, clothing kink.. I went with one of my favorites :-)

Hardly Ever )
It's [livejournal.com profile] byrne's birthday today, hip-hip hooray, and she said she'd like a Jack/Daniel drabble so I did one (with a birthday spanking, because it's been ages since I did one of those).

Light Like Rain )
It's the splendiferously sparkly [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl's birthday today (hurray!).

Here's a tiny 450 word J/D fic for you, sweetie; hope you like it and I hope you have a truly wonderful birthday :;much love and squishes::

Early Riser )
[livejournal.com profile] flaming_muse just wrote her first Jack/Daniel fic and left me melted and in awe as she usually does with her fics.

Early season fic, first time, so good.

Rain in the Desert
This is not the Best Bits fourth drabble you were looking for. This is me using up the bunny I had when I thought 'glasses' would win for Daniel and making it into bunny soup.

The one for his eyes will be along shortly :-)

Lacuna

"How do you see through these?" Jack's peering through Daniel's glasses and scowling. "I can't see anything."

"Uh… that would be because you're not near-sighted?"

"It's not that; they're just filthy." Jack huffs on them while cataloguing the smudges. When he gets to something anatomically implausible just as he's polishing them on the hem of his T-shirt, Daniel grabs them and jams them back on, flushed with something he decides to label annoyance.

They're slightly smeared from Jack's fingers at the edges but he leaves them that way.

Seeing Jack clearly isn't all that safe when he's in this mood.
The second of the Best Bits drabbles.

Jack O'Neill's voice. Set after Daniel's return in S7.

Falconer's Voice

"Jack."

"Daniel."

Jack can win every argument before it's unpacked from its box, pieces set out on the board, because of the way he says Daniel's name.

Daniel mouths it to himself at night, hands languidly touching, mind straying. It feels strange on his lips as he copies Jack's inflexions, that knowing drawl and drag, but even the dry echo is sometimes all it takes.

Jack fills the flexible syllables with so much unsaid, understood, and Daniel wonders sometimes if he's forgotten a time when it was said aloud, at length.

No one ever invented shorthand before speech, after all.
This one, set during 'The Light', is for [livejournal.com profile] theemdash ::smooches::

He's watched Daniel fumble loading a gun, heard him whisper in a voice so carrying they could probably hear him back in the Gateroom, never mind over the rise where a score of Jaffa are skulking.

He's waited through ill-timed lectures about the sanctity of cultures Jack cares nothing about, his patience shredding, and he's sighed, listening to Daniel dig them in deep with the politicians who wander, bleating about costs, through the SGC.

But this, stumbling up the ramp, through the 'gate, Daniel slung over his back, is the first time he's thought of him as dead weight.
This is a Lost City drabble and it's got to be dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] paian who owns this episode for me and I can't watch either part without mentally referring to her wonderful palimpsest of Lost City fics.

Stolen Words

"Daniel," Jack murmurs, wound around him in a way sleep will untangle in a series of small separations. "Daniel, I -- "

He's so sure of what Jack's sleepy mouth is garbling ('I love you'; has to be) that he says, "Tell me tomorrow". He can wait.

Then they wake and the words (Jack) have been overwritten, expunged.

And he says it to Jack, over and over, desperate even for a parroted echo.

Nothing.

Stupid of him.

Stupid.

But waiting for what he wants is a habit (a bad one).

And he's left hoping, not knowing, not sure, after all.

Lost.
Today is the birthday of a most special person indeed, the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] jenlev and you deserve the best of days, complete with all that makes you happiest.

Here's a little 250 word snippet of early Jack/Daniel, just the right size to be written inside a card :;much love::

Keep it Secret )
Jack/Daniel smut as requested by people who know a hot twosome of smuttly cuteness when they see it ;-)

Slow, Quick, Slow )
It's been too long since I wrote these two; needed a fix.

No spoilers; set, oh, S4 maybe. 1300 words. On the angsty side and possibly clearer in my head than it reads. This Jack has some problems; maybe less than he realises - maybe more.

Choices )
Okay, this isn't a fic as much as a gut-reaction to the latest episode. Because it's sinking in now what happened and you know, they're not themselves, they really aren't. Episode spoilers for 'Company of Thieves'.

911 )
Okay, this one is for [livejournal.com profile] theemdash. Consider it a vase of flowers on the table of my LJ :-) We're swapping instant drabbles to make the place look homey; this one took, umm, nine minutes. If only that meant I could write 1,000 words in 90...

Her smut snippet in all its smutty snippy yumminess is here

Desk Job

Daniel's desk wasn't built for this. Its surface is buried under paper, books, and coffee mugs; it's the wrong height by a crucial two inches, and Jack's sure one of them is going to end up with a splinter somewhere… personal.

But getting Daniel to spell out his fucked over a desk fantasy in stammers and throat clearings, punctuated with blushes and three, count 'em, three, nervous rubs at his glasses, was too much trouble for Jack to bail now.

And Daniel's naked, hard, waiting, looking back over his shoulder, that appealing, determined, trusting look on his face.

Perfectly positioned.
I haven't written anything in ages so I did this to cheer me up. 367 words of S7 schmoop. It was vaguely prompted by a post this week about The Sweater being a favourite of Jack's according to MS at a con.
