You know how you can ask Fan History to delete your page? What they actually do is leave your page up, blank, and invite people to edit it any way they like.

That is NOT deleting it.

Sheesh.

And, okay, they got one more hit from me, but I wanted to check my page was down.

Which it isn't, not the way I define it.

Oh, well. If it goes the way of FanLib it'll all be moot soon. I wandered over and checked the FanLib forum today and oh, my. Oh. My. Hysterical, melodramatic threats to never write again -- that'll show them! countered by a few voices of reason. They're taking it hard.

I don't feel sorry for the shrill ones, but I do feel bad for the sensible ones who'd made friends there -- but, being sensible, they're making plans to meet up elsewhere, so I think they'll be okay.

Stop writing fic? Sh'yeah, right.

Like I COULD.

ETA, Out of curiosity, recognizing a name in the 'recent changes' at FH, I clicked another entry for an LJ member. It got redirected to a page with her real name (no, not the person most of the kerfuffle has been about) and the so-called facts about her were pure sneer and bitchiness mixed in with some 'facts'.

What the fuck? Seriously, how is this supposed to be an objective fan history?
