Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton four times and it still crashed every time I tried to get my email.
So I uninstalled it one last time and d/led the free version of AVG.
Three minutes later my inbox was overflowing.
Sorry, Norton, but 24 hours without email is 23 hours and 59 minutes too long.
I've answered all the emails now but if I missed one or deleted it accidentally, that's why.
