Going behind the cut...

Well, thank God they finally cleared that up. I'd be really interested in knowing if that was planned that way from the start and already filmed or if it got inserted later, because it addressed the specific issues many of us have had so directly that it came close to breaking the fourth wall.

Moving on... In a way the pacing was a clue it was going to be a two-parter but I enjoyed it. There was a seriousness about it that was a huge relief, lots of loose ends tied up, and I still got to laugh out loud in the screech to a halt moment with Dean's anguished TMI, Sammy! reaction.

After whimpering over the sewing up and putting shoulders back in sockets bit which was so damn casual and intimate and guh.

God, what this show has done to me; I totally get where the Buffybot was coming from about Spike's sexy wounds now ;-)

While I'm splashing in the shallow end, Sam looked good tonight. Mmm.

The end; I knew it was the angels coming, not demons; and you could see that they weren't going to want to do anything but kill her, but you'd think they'd take a minute to wonder why she can do this and who gave her powers similar to Sam's before they remove her from the board. Smiting is short-sighted.

I'm still reeling over the demon the knife can't kill who knew Dean in hell; Alistair? Or are they spelling it Aleister as in Crowley? That'd be interesting... ETA: it's Alastair.

Overall, for me, they're back on track; nice to get some gaps filled, some new players in town and the prospect of a showdown as there's no way they're going to let Anna be sacrificed.

I'll end with a moment of silent contemplation of Sam's back and shoulders.

Mmm.

Nice.
