I watched The Guard for the first time last night and although, despite the fact that Camulus (sans kilt) was in it (and Teryl Rothery is sometimes, too), wasn't all that caught up in the characters; didn't hate them, just don't know them yet, I guess. I felt like I could get to care about them.
But, oh, that BC scenery! Sooooo beautiful. Misty mountains, trees, the sea, islands scattered everywhere...it's filmed in Squamish (Port Hallet on the show).
And it's odd that they seem to have masses of the stuff, scenery that is, whereas SPN and SGA have a piece of forest the size of my back yard. I suppose it costs too much/takes too long to shoot far away from Burnaby.
I spent the hour making wistful whimpering noises as another scenic vista came on screen. I think that bit of the world is where I want to live someday.
Anyone else watching it? It doesn't, as far as I can see, even have a forum at TWoP :-(
