Question. I've finished the smut in chapter six and I'm on to the ending, which, as the smut took longer than I thought, will have to be chapter 7. I've got about 4 possible endings and they're all fine; in character afaik and each allow for lots of different variants on a twist. Trouble is, I can't choose.
They're short; I could conceivably write them all and let people pick. Or I could do that just on the LJ and see what people thought before settling on an official one. Or I could just stop arsing around and pick one myself. ::sigh:: Typical; normally, I'm fretting and fuming trying to end it and now I have an embarrassment of riches.
I'm not wild about alternate endings usually; I like to be told; _this_ is what happens, this and nothing else. I know in an infinite universe, all things are possible but that's oddly unsatisfying when it comes to a story. Closest I ever came was the end of 'The Demon Delivers' and that had some people infuriated or puzzled.
I think I've convinced myself. One ending.
I _like_ these journals; it's like a wiser Jane popping up and giving me sound and sage advice. Where is she the other 99% of the time? ::grin::
