Lat night David wanted to play Dungeon Master and I was deep in an episode of Numb3rs. Instead of loading our party, currently on level 8 after two solid weeks of playing, he decided not to play without me but to create a new party and start again at level one. Fine. No problem. Solo gaming is how we always used to do it, in fact.
(Stop me when you see where this tragic tale is going)
So my episode finished and David saved his game on level two, planning to open our joint one.
(You see it, don't you?)
A few minutes later, he came into me and held out his wrist to be slapped.
(Oh, it took you less time to twig than it did me.)
I let him live.
Which is more than I can say for Darou, Mophus, Tiggy and Sonja...
We began another joint game, mostly different characters, back at level one.
Screamers. Sigh. We're back killing screamers. Oh, joy.
