I had a letter from Rogers yesterday, who provide us with phone/TV/internet.
As part of our committment to you, we have done a thorough assessment of your account and have determined that you have been receiving a greater discount than what you are eligible for.
(I'm ignoring the appalling construction of that sentence).
We apologize for this error.
No need to apologize! Really!
Rest assured that we have made improvements to our internal processes to help ensure this does not happen again.
Uh, they do get that they've been charging us TOO LITTLE and that frankly we're quite happy about that, yes?
To do them justice, they're not trying to claim arrears (well, I'd like to see them try) but it made me snorfle with amusement.
So I guess next month our bill will leap skyward :;sigh::
Now, THAT I'd like them to apologize for :-)

Also, I'm still getting my employee discount despite no longer being an employee! Hope they don't catch on to that trick.
Happy Canada Day!
