I've just finished BCD. Again. I sent ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kindkit chapter thirteen to beta and when it came back it needed rewriting (it did, it really did, you're right). So I did. It's over 6,000 words now and I competely ditched half of the original. Kit, if you're reading this don't faint. It just didn't make sense the way I had it and I had a sudden rush of blood to the head. The whole thing now clocks in at 46,000 words because I've gone through and added bits everywhere.
It needs another read through and probably one after that ::moans piteously:: It needs putting up on my page ::quails at the work:; and as everyone will be reading the Giles fics, I won't even try and rush it out tomorrow.
I can't look at it objectively any more. I love this fic, I love this Giles and Spike. I think they'll stay with me for a long time because they're so hot they make me feel light headed just thinking about them. My boys :;smooches them::
I'm not going to beg, bribe or pout to get people to read it again before you read the new stuff (assuming anyone cares anyway after all this time). It's very long, the changes in some chapters are whole paragraphs, but more often just odd words, and there's so much new fic out there it's not fair expecting you to read something for a second time. But Kit and I have worked really hard on this so I hope you do. It's way better. Really.
