I need to use it on some people, including me.
I just tried to do fancy things with icons. Boy. When you don't know what you're trying to do, help is of no help. What's the technical name for one of those icons where there's words, then it changes to another picture? Is that animation? If so, it's Too Hard. Am I running before I can stagger? Probably.
Should I be writing instead? Definitely.
Am I the only one who hasn't even started her ABoD fic yet and doesn't have a clue about a plot? ::looks around hopefully for companions in misery::
To cheer you all up, because mocking the afflicted is always good for a laugh, I popped in the alt.fan.angel newsgroup. Some nice folks there, but two queries had me boggling and then giggling. Spoilers for Damage and You're Welcome, so I'll cut.
One poster said,
Spike made numerous references to losing his hand in the previous
episode to the nutty slayer, but I "saw" that episode and I don't
remember Spike losing his hand. It was just last week so I know that
I didn't forget it and I think the reason for this is the poor quality
of the video on Angel anymore. A dark environment can be done well
and be very moody without being impossible to see. Take "The X-Files"
as an example, they did an excellent job at using dark environments
without interfering too much with the ability to see what was going
on. "Angel" has gotten so dark that it's impossible to tell what's
going on and even in rooms with lights and gigantic windows it's still
difficult to see what's going on. I bet the crazy slayer chopped
those hands off just fine but the darkness of the video prevented me
from seeing it.
No, mate, you just turned your TV off and never noticed.
Then from another poster, this about Lindsey skewering Angel with the sword;
Excuse me? Haven't we seen Buffy and Angel both kill vamps with metal weapons?
And if not them, others? Now it has to be wood? Exsqueezeme?
Wtf? Yes, you can behead a vamp with metal but never, ever, ever, can you stake them with metal or wood grain plastic and expect them to dust. Wooden stakes. Is that news?
