We had a remake of the movie. It was called the TV show. It did what it wanted to do and it did it well and we loved it.
I can't speak for this fanbase eagerly awaiting this new movie (which I suspect will never get made) of which they speak, but my fanbase of one, sitting right here does not want ::pets my Buffy and Angel DVDs gently::
